Enjoyed reading your blog post on your trip onboard P&O Cruises Adonia - sorry to hear you had to miss a few ports along the way - but Adonia looks like a good choice for cruise fans who prefer the small-ship cruising experience. You can get some of the best deals on P&O Cruises when you visit Hays Travel Cruises at http://www.haystravel.co.uk/po-cruises.phtml

The "Spirit of Adventure", formerly Peter Deilimans "Berlin" was only chartered to Saga for the time she was with them.... Now having had "Saga Pearl II" replace her a week into May as "Quest for Adventure" (what she was bought by Saga for originally before the loss of "Saga Rose" who could not pass the "safety of life at sea" regulations which were implimented in 2010) has at the end of her final cruise for Saga in Italy been returned to her German Owners for further trading....

Hi

Would be grateful if you could answer a question and you can willingly publish this. I was suddenly widowed 20 months ago. My late Husband, Allan and I had done 14 cruises. Unfortunately I cannot afford to carry on cruising due to the "Rip Off" prices that single people are charged. In most cases we are almost charged for 2 people as the cabin is classed as a double with single occupancy. The companies that do have a few single cabins charge extremely high prices for them. Why are we being descriminated for being widowed. We are not allowed to carry on a normal life and enjoy the things that we enjoyed with our late Husbands/Wives. Can anything be done to stop this happening? Many thanks - Sue
